wow, thats crazy I got a fair amount of weight on you and my seat is holding strong plus no dents. Thanks for the heads up. That's a lot of seats to be going threw. Where is it breaking on the seat pan,? is it a crack or complete break/separation?
how the hell can one person have 5 seats break and not anyone else have even one break there must be a reason
My last new bike is a 2001 Fatboy and it has never broken so if you are suggesting that it is my riding habit or rider era I am not really feeling that And It is hard to believe myself 5 seats in less than a year. Thats why I am looking to my fellow ryders to give a few suggestions for another way to fix this problem. We all spend a large amount of money on these bikes and Maybe if we would stick together these large MC company might back there customers a little better.

First it starts to bend at the rear bracket when it bends it lifts and pulls out from under the tank wich causes the bolt on the back bracket pulls out of the pan all the seats have broken the same way
Thanks, I just went and checked my fender. I noticed the entire area around the rear bolt area to be slightly indented, my seats rear mounting bracket however sits flat and is tight when I tug on it up/down, in/out.
Thank you I forgot about this post and now that I got back to it I see that I am not the only one so 09 SG owners we have a problem and Harley should back the problem lets see what happens
I wonder if they they warranty the paint on the fender where the seat rubbed? I have a pretty decent wear line about 4-6 inches from the rear bolt toward the tank.
