I went though something similar on my '07 Ultra last year. It wasn't getting fuel and turned out to be a bad quick release fitting (the one at the left rear of the tank). Unplug it and see if that fuel line is pressurized, if not, you may have a bad fitting. Mine had a "catch" in it when I turned the chrome part, it should turn smoothly. When I pulled mine loose the line wasn't pressurized, but when I plugged it back in it started and ran fine...for a while. Dealership replaced the assembly for me under warranty even though it had been out of warranty for a month.

Ya know having made those parts for the disconnect I over looked it!... Yes for sure make sure its getting fuel thru the disconnect.. They had some issues on quality .. I made a post last week on those fittings and if you find its messed up pm me ill help you out if i can..
Hooray!!! removed the hose from the quick connect and reconnected after working the chrome sleeve up and down a few times and now it is running. Fired right up. Stro1965 and N8DC you guys are amazing. I was headed to the dealer tomorrow to see if they could figure out what was going on. Now I am going to the dealer tomorrow and have them replace the quick connect. Bike is still under warranty. N8DC does the quick connect have a small ball check valve or what? Looks like it was stuck and just needed to be worked. You guys don't know how good I feel right now. I was getting worried that I would not make the trip with my sons. I am really greatful for all you help. Maybe one day I can return the favor.

Thank you so much...

Glad to help! Too bad that particular part seems to be a common failure point.

I just fixed my 07Ultra by disconnecting the quick connect under the tank and reconnecting it. I stopped last nite at local watering hole on way home..when leaving bike would not start. Cranked over fine but would not hit a lick. Being previously bit by a bad crank position sensor I changed out with the spare I had. NO JOY Brother towed me home with a tie down strap. ( Another story for another time)
Next morning still same thing. Hooked up TwinScan and found nothing.
Took air cleaner cover off and shot starting fluid in it. It fires !
Immediately went to other side of bike, unhooked the fuel line at the quick disconnect and reconnected it. Bike fired and ran immediately and has every time since.
Keep that one in your tool bag boys !!!! and another Crank sensor too.
glad you got her figured out. ain't it great that there are others who've had similar problems and found the cure? have fun on your ride up to arkansas.
