Rode my 07 Utra (stock except for V&H slip ons) over to my buddy's house to check out his new bike yesterday and when I went to leave my bike would not start. Ran fine up until then and I have not had any problems before. I bought use last year and it only has 4300 mile on it. Timing really sucks to have trouble as my sons and I were going to leave Friday for trip to Arkansas. So I hope I can this issue fixed ASAP. I guess better to happen close to home instead in the middle of nowhere.
The following are the things my buddy performed during our trouble shooting session. Still will not start.
Listened in gas tank and fuel pump appears to be working as usual
Pulled and checked all fuses, all ok
Pulled spark plug wires from spark plug and have a good spark.
Spark plugs are dry
Added gasoline to cylinders, reinstalled spark plugs and bike ran
Pulled codes and only code that came up was P0152 rear O2 sensor high (rich).
Removed, checked and clean crank position sensor. Guess it could still be bad. No code indicating that it is an issue.
My friend and I think that it could be possibly plugged fuel filter, bad fuel pump or plugged injectors.
What do you mean by would not start? Does it turn over and not fire or does it not turn over? Not to be captain obvious but did you check the battery and connections?

Sounds like you may be on to something. It's interesting that it ran fine and then wouldn't start. I'm not sure about ultras, but the '08 had a recall on the fuel pump canister (some plastic housing in the tank) that would crack and leave you stranded. Do the '07 bikes have the same thing? Not the widespread issues, but the same parts that would leave you stranded if they broke?
It seems like you would notice decreased performance if the fuel filter or injectors were dirty, but maybe not. Good luck.
You have gas in that tank, don't you? (Not being a smart-***... it has been known to happen.)
That's the truth. Buddy of mine has had his bike picked up twice from his house because it wouldn't start. He never rides, just revs it up in the garage. Hard to get gas if you never leave the garage....
Not sure about plastic housing in the tank on 07. I didn't notice any performance issues up unitl it would not start. Yes I have gas in the tank. I filled up yesterday

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Some of you guys really crack me up... Try reading before asking more questions..
This guy did a better than average job of explaining what they did to try to troubleshoot his bike then one of you has to ask if it turns over.. READ READ READ . Its got spark . well if it has spark it had to turn over to see it .
They added gas to the cylinders and it started but obviously didnt run long..
Im gonna say fuel filter or the issue with the canister or what ever it is going to hell..
2 things make em run.. Fuel and Spark.. Compression helps too though but seeing that it did run after adding fuel to the cylinders its got compression..
ps: the o2 code prolly came up from dumping gas in the cylinders..
