I haven;t used it on the bike but in the vehicle I use a Garmin and it never fails me. Anyone have any idea where to get a gps mount for the Harley Classics?

Here's one man's opinion on selecting a GPS for the bike/car

Gotta have MP3 player and FM transmitter for easy interface w/Ultra's stereo (wireless)
Gotta pop out of the mount and into my pocket easily - in flight if it starts raining!
Gotta be a price performer cuz by next year something else better will be out!

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 785T. Has Bluetooth too so you can at least see if you are getting a phone call if you pair it to you cell phone. Paid in the $175 range... It is also a discontinued item mainly because of the traffic service being taken off the air sometime in 2011, if I remember correctly. The traffic was not as important to me as the MP3 player and FM transmitter (and Bluetooth).

Bear in mind it is NOT waterproof - so you 'takes your chances' on that front.

I got the Zumo 660W. It is water proof, they say. Has the latest stuff. Finially found pretty good price on web. You just have to search I found pricing changing almost daily. I think any of the wide screen models would work fine, may need to keep out of the rain.

This guy hit the nail right smack on the head. I love everything about my zumo 550 (I understand you can't do the MP3 thing with the 660?). Anyway, it makes the move from bike to truck effortlessly...GREAT product!

Zumo 660W comes with car mount and handlebar mount. The one for the bike is a little cumbersom and tall but sturdy.

I have the Zumo 550. It has XM radio and MP3 playback as well. I mounted mine on the Kuryakyn fuel door mount. I also swap it into my car. It came with the car mount with speaker.

Well worth the $ even if you buy a used one on Ebay.
