GPS question???????
Pretty much the same as the last guy stated.. I use a Garmin Nuvi 205 with it in 2D settings so that I can view 1.5 miles around me (see the roads). I also use a RAM mount.
I had to replace my old 205 and I got another 205 because it was perfect for what I want it for. I got 60K miles out of the last one on the bike.
Walmart.com has them for 96 shipped.. you can get the ram mount for around 45 bucks.
Good luck, Scary

I also have the 550, so plus about 10 on that so far (including MP3 player functionality). I can't speak to the gas cap mount. The 550 comes with a bracket that can bolt to your clutch mounting screws. That's the way I did mine.
I can take a pic this evening if you'd like (just lemme know).
Probably have about 20k Harley miles on it.
My opinion - if you got the bucks - go for the bike specific models.
If you don't - get what you can afford. You'll just need to be a little careful with the elements.
I bought a Garmin Nuvi 1350 while I was in Florida for Daytona Bike week. Cost about $160 at WalMart. Comes with everything you need including a suction cup mount that I've used on the gas-cap door of my Street Glide and the windshield of my vehicles. Works great! You can look up anything immediately, get telephone numbers, etc. I will never travel without it now.

I've had a 550 for the last couple of years...initially not the cheapest way to go by a longshot. But, I really appreciate the functionality and long term value of the 550. I utilize the mp3, the XM radio module, as well as the bluetooth. Oh yeah, I even use it as a GPS on occasion. Works great on the scoot or in my truck. Actually saved a little money by canceling my Sirius subscriptions in other vehicles and use the Zumo in whatever I'm driving. Now have one subscription for about $12.00 per month. As you can see there are a lot of options when looking at GPS units, most of them are good, just depends on your needs. In my situation I felt like the 550 in the long term afforded a better return on my investment since I now use it every day in whatever I'm driving instead of just as a GPS when I'm traveling. There's a lot more reasonably priced units out there that do a good job...just saying.......
I have had the 550 for last 18 months. Mounted on the clutch bracket. I have not used mp3 or satellite radio. Takes another antenna, and I don't have speakers. Don't use the supplied earbud either. Nice to have as a reminder of route but I usually scope out ahead of time. I like using h-d ride planner, and loading up routes automatically on unit.
