I am experiencing intermittent starting problems with 2010 Limited. On occasion I would hit the starter switch and nothing would happen( like it was dead). I would go through the sequence one or two times and then it would start. I have not to have it start after a couple of these attempts but I am worried that it won't eventually.
Would an ACR not engaging cause something like this? I know there may be other reasons causing the problem but was curious if the ACR's were sticking.
Anybody experience this on their 2010.

The ACR is there to reduce the compression so the motor has an easier time turning over. If it failed, the motor would likely turn over more slowly.
Some on this site reported the same problem. Turn the run switch on and off several times with the ignition off. Then try and start it, usually worked. Warranty issue for sure
RM4040: Did you ever figure this one out? I'm having the exact same issue. It's NOT the fob because after enough f**king around it'll start.
I dropped it off at the dealer this morning... but with it being an intermittent thing, I don't have a lot of hope. They checked for codes and didn't read any. I'm afraid I won't know what the problem is until it just doesn't start at all. And of course it'll be the worst time.
About the ACR's: do they make a "clunk" noise when they close on startup?
Neutral switch?
Anyone with any other theories?

I had the same problem with my 07 RG. Dealer could not get it to do it.... imagine that. I had an aftermarket shop put on a new set of handlebars. In doing so they had to pull the ignition switch, after they put it back I never had the problem again.
I was 1000 miles from home when it first happend, not a good feeling, but when I would recycle it, it always started. Good luck.
