Default Handlebars for 2010 Road King Classic

Had my 2010 RKC for 6 months now, no complaints at all after the Stage 1, Monster Ovals, and Sundowner seat were fitted.
I still get the knife between the shoulder blades, and from what I'm reading, a new set of bars may be the fix.
I'm around 5'10, and I'm probably reaching forward for the bars.

I'm interested in what handlebars riders have chosen, as I've read a few views, Heritage Style, Wild 1 etc

Any ideas?

I went with 14" Wild one Ape hangers, It was a little pricey but I love it.
If I was going to do it again, I would probably order from HCC, as you can buy them already wired, which was the biggest pain about changing them out.

The pain that you describe is exactly what I had, and after changing the bars I have had no pain, whatsoever.

i've had my road king for about 8 years now and always had that problem and for all 8 years i always say i'm going to do something about it.
but for me the pain doesnt start until about 4 hours so i've lived with it. but once that pain starts, it stays for weeks.

I went with Carlini 14" they work great. I had a bad motorcycle accident back in 92 and my right shoulder has given me problems ever since. I can ride these handle bars all day, with no problems. They make the ones i have in Flying Apes and Gangster Apes. Check them out:

I am wrapping up my 16" carlini install now and love the look. Cant wait to ride, as others have said it is gonna cost you. I did it myself and it is very straight forward and pretty easy except the internal wiring of the bars that is a real pain and I had to take my bars to a shop to get the right side done. Good luck

Yeah...that is TOOOOO much. I did my own for $670 and that included chrome switch housings and controls, bars, Chromite brake line and clutch cables and hand grips (because I couldn't the old clutch side off the old bars)
