42-45 consistently unless on the int at 75+ . I am a conservative rider and use the cheapest gas I can find. Under the most extreme riding with weight and mountains I seldom drop blow 39.

My low fuel light always comes on, within a couple of miles, at 160. I then pump very close to 4 gallons. Why the difference? I'm not what you would call an "aggressive" rider so I'm baffled. Every other bike I've had beat the pack by several mpg.
Thanks for any thoughts.
2006 Road King Police-I get 185 Miles to the Low Fuel Light. 200 Miles and I am sweating Bullets. So that works out to at 185 Miles roughly 39 Miles Per Gallon, at 200 Miles it works out to roughly 40 Miles Per Gallon. Half of my daily Mileage is Highway Miles, the other half is stop and go, waiting for the stupid *** lights to
turn green.
With my '07 96 I get 36-38 in town, 47 highway (no cruise, varying speeds 55-75) and about 50 at a steady 60-65 w/cruise.
XIED's, Rush slipons w/1.5" baffles, everything else stock.
Talking to a good friend today with an '06 88" Deluxe & he gets 37-38 max. Big Sucker, Power Commander, & Hooker pipes.
I got 45-48 mpg wheni got the bike but it ran too lean and was giving me a check engine light, the dealer did a download and it dropped to about 40 pretty consistently same after i got a stage I...
Wow! after hearing the above numbers I feel like I may have a lemon. My '06 is stage 1, otherwise stock. I don't ride aggressive and only get 32 - 37 mpg.
