Yea "SofaKing Ugly" was the first thing that came to mind when I mounted it.
I have about a 1000 miles on it so far, feels great. Someday I might try to make it look better but not until it snows.
Adding a king tour pac and 14" wild1s this weekend that will pretty much finish off any "class" the bike had when i got it.
Hats off to you for giving this a shot. It takes a lot of guts to move forward with something like this on a piece of equipment that could cost upwards of 400 bucks if things go badly.
I really hope it turns out just the way you want when you get it finished with the cover and all. After seeing you take the leap, i am seriously thinking about doing the same. I am also a DIY kind of guy and there is always an extra amount of satisfaction when you look at the finished product and go "i did that."
Great job and thanks for sharing the information with us and the mini how to.
