I am trying to find the best windshield height for me on a 09 Street Glide. I am 6'1" tall and short of buying 6 different shields I was curious on other riders experiences???
I like to see just over the windshield. So sit on the bike and hold a ruler up and measure for your eyes are just above and that should give you a good idea
I am 6'0 on a '09 Street Glide.I have the HD 6.5 contoured winshield and the wind hits me on the forehead.I would recommend a 9-10 " windshield to clear you.Klockworks makes a nice one.
It depends on how much air you want, if you do a search you'll find hundreds of opinions. I've run a stock SG, 8" regular, & 6 1/2" recurve, the stock was OK for short distance in the summer, went to an 8" & found it good for most riding, but would switch back & forth because I liked the looks of the short shield. I then went to a Clearview 6 1/2 recurve & I think it's the perfect compromise for me, I've riden numerous 500 mile days, but I don't mind a little wind, I'm 6'.

I'm running the stock on my '07, and it seems that my nose just gets hammered with I believe, more windburn than sunburn. The the 6 1/2 recurve block the wind from your nose?
Based on your height I think a 9.5" Clearview recurve would be your best protection with ability to still see over windshield. The Clearview recurve shield is like ~1.5-2" taller shield in protection. If you aren't quite sure though of height go buy you a Fast Aire windshield to experiment as they are good windshields and very economical!
