Stereo Options
What is everybody doing with their stereos. I am new to the Harmon Kardon and wondering if anyone had found anything better or more reliable. I guess I am just wondering what my options are for some tunes..
By no means am I saying anybody should do this but last weekend I decided to venture into the "installing a radio" field on my 2006 EG. I had a little bit of an idea because of this forum, so I said what the hell. Also I tried to see how little of money I could use to do it. So off I went to Wally World and purchased a Sony radio (front has the IPOD and USB ports) and 5 1/4 speakers also Sony. I then went to an auto store and purchased a hidden antenna (it is inside the fairing) and the face plate for a Chrysler. All together I spent around $180 bucks. I know it is no where near what some people have installed but at 80mph with the Bassani pipes wide open I can hear it like setting in a car. I love it. More so because I did it on my own with the the help of the pics and the conversations in this forum about do's and don'ts. The only part I screwed up was I didn't put the fairing bolts back in using lock tight and 4 of the bolts came out on me. Had to go to HD and spend another $2.17 for those, so all together $182.17 and I got myself a brand new stereo. So that's my story and my two cents.
