Default Pledge on black?

been using pledge for years, but all the bikes were light colors. I pledge everything. Just bought a vivid black bike, and recently someone said don"t use it on black, I think they said it steaks or something. Do you guys use it on black?

Use it all the time on my Vivid Black tins & the trick is to use "sparingly" because it will show streaks. I spray small amount on micro cloth & wipe to a nice shine. Cheers!

I used it on my old black Dyna and it worked like a charm, like Iceman said though, use it sparingly.

Use it on the black sections no issues keeps it shinny between wax jobs.

Never have streaks on my vivid black. What works best for me on all the surfaces is a cleaning cloth (in my case, hijacked silver cleaning cloth from Momma) for the cleaning then a light buff/polish with a dry microfiber cloth.

The one that cleans does get too damp and will leave streaks but not much and the follow up cloth takes those away leaving a sparkling, lemon fresh shine.

If you don't wanna take any chances, go to a metric dealer & get a can of that "Original" spray polish/cleaner. It used to say Honda on it --- the stuff that had to be taken off the shelves, here in the east, last year for awhile. That's the best stuff I ever used. Cleans & shines EVERYTHING --- windshield, paint, chrome, seat --- everything. Works better than the Harley stuff in the spray can, and you don't have to work as hard. Never saw anything get rid of bugs like this stuff, except rain.
