That about sums it up. No muss, no fuss, no tie downs and no worries with a quality jack.

I wonder if there is a difference in height between the red and yellow sears jacks. I have an 04 Road King Custom. It's actually about 1-1/2" lower then the other Road kings. My yellow jack slides under my bike with an inch or two to spare.

I'm glad this hasn't turned into another jack debate.

I have the HF yellow & black steel jack same as the Sears Red jack. I always use a 2x4 under the jiffy stand and the jack slides under no problem. I have used the aluminum Yellow jack and it fit very well but was way less stable than the steel HF or Sears red jack. I'm satisfied with it.

I've had the red sears jack for years. Never had a problem. Fits under my 2010 SE Ultra without any issues. My 2003 Fatboy is lower and needs a board to slightly raise the rear tire so the jack fits under the frame.

If some of you guys find it difficult to ride your bike's rear tire up onto a 1" thick board, perhaps motorcycling is too complex a hobby for you. If you don't have the mechanical skills to place a board in front of your year tire and drive over it, then I recommend you return the jack and get another brand. Or maybe return the bike and get a motorcycle brand that fits on your jack.

Geez, some guys really shouldn't be on a motorcycle.

Everyone of my bikes have to be straight up before the jack will slide under. I don't know the name of the jack....was bought years ago. I just wait till I can get my wife to help hold the bike straight.

The Electra Glides....real PITA. The jack has to be just right as the frame on the bike is just a little short for the jack. It sometimes will take a few attempts to get it just right. Far from perfect, but it works for the seldom need to have the bike raised.

I try to do all the maintenance on the sidestand. Next would be to put the bike on my homebuilt ramp and tie it down....this makes the bike straight up. If the bike must be lifted for whatever reason....then I use the jack.

Depending on what we must do to our bikes....sometimes we must be creative.

Screw it....the bike just needs a center stand!!!!!
