Use of the Harley lowers will increase your engine temps.I have had mine many years and they are great in the winter. You will get another type of buffeting from them though, you will feel them move your bike around some, they are like little sails.
do you feel that these might improve some of the buffeting that some are experiencing?
....... Devo, are you getting buffeted ? If not, and if yer not riding in the cold or wet, maybe you don't need anything.
..... if ya do have an issue, i'd watch ebay for a set of used FLH lowers & not be concerned w/taking them off.
I have the DD's on mine when its cold out but dont like the buffering I get with them, get alot of air flowing up between my fairing and The DD's,I just orderd a set of fork Deflector thru Drag for 60.00 and gona give them a try...Iam thinking it should work well when I need to put on the soft lowers...
I have the airlite lowers. They fit nicely and have a mesh area that stops bugs and debris. they do cause the bike to run a little warm. Nice in the fall and early spring. I think the web site is www.airlite.ca
Not getting that much buffeting, however, when wearing my presription glasses they tend to bounce around. Thought maybe the lowers might cut down on the wind coming from below.
I may look at the FLH lowers. Thanks for the replies everyone.
I put on these "summer" soft lowers - been riding with them for a month now and they seem to help with the buffeting but it hasn't got hot yet. $20. Ya, I know, get some black-zip ties. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...Q5fAccessories

These look like they would help. I am not sure these will work with my highway pegs.
I have two sets for sale if anyone interested. They are full coverage, not the half covers shown above. Both work with hiway pegs, neither is HD. One with pockets, one without.
$20 and $25 shipped Conus. leather like material. PM me
