Friends that ride behind my scoot with their bikes complain that my exhaust has a heavy smell of unburned fuel.. i have 2 maps set up on my PCV with a switch for cooling and Cruising from FM. I am at times hard on the throttle having fun but also while i am cruising they smell the gas fumes... Does anyone else have this issue ? And it aint fumes from my butt either !!!
there is only some popping when the engine is cold and I rev to 4K RPM but once motor is warmed up no more popping and bike runs fine. Is this odour normal due to adding more fuel to keep bike cooler ?
I have noticed when I run my richer maps there is a smell of gas in the garage after I park the bike. It doesn't take much change to make the smell go away. Just .3-.5 on the air fuel ratio.
Might you have a dyno handy where they will let you on to do a run for the numbers and test the air fuel mix in the exhaust?
