Been searching the threads and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Wanna go a little Ol' Skool with my Silver 'RK Custom... Silver, Black and Chrome. Already decided I'm goin' with black wheels for sure...maybe mags, or maybe some 80 spoked with black rim... my question is...All black front end? How do think that would look? It looks hot on the SG, just not sure on a RK.. anyone got any pics? I've already chromed the front end but now I'm thinkin about switchin... Split upper and lowers??? Hmmm...
Goin' with the skull series...leavin the controls, levers and mirrors black... got the 16's on it... Whattaya all think??
Or should I just spend all my cash on my therapist???
A friend of mine has a silver RK with the leather bags. He has the stock black wheels, but he powdercoated the front end (forks, nacelle, etc.) He even put powdercoated apes on it, and black Thunderheaders. Then, to top off the apes, he bought the powdercoated mirrors, and reversed them (facing downward) so they are still functional. It is one sweet looking ride!
The pic in my sig has the chrome and black front end. It's really personal tastes as both look good. I just wanted to break up all of the black on my bike.
if the stealer ever gets my bike put back together I will post a picture. I have a vivid black rk custom that I'm having the front blacked out along with the engine guard. This winter my apes will be powder coated also.
