Hi Zippo2:

The Arc amp pushes two ohms easily (just get hot) but you are actually taking the amp lower. (4x3)/(4+3) = 1.71 Ohms. That's why it cutting out.

From what Wayne is telling me there is no since in running the back speakers off the amp due to you really don't gain much going down the high way at 80 mph. I just have the front 6.5 Herts on the front and my buddy can hear mine 30 yards back. I have no issues going down the road 75 to 80 + and it sounds great.

A two channel amp is two separate circuits. Does not see the 3&4 ohm speakers in paralell.

Thanks for everybody's reply, I'll try backing off the gains and try that first. If that doesn't work, or I can't get enough volume out of these 6.5 speakers in the fairing and 6.5 in the lower fairing then which connection layout would be best, series/parallel connection or what else would maybe work?

Default stereo cutting out

I had this same problem this past weekend on a ride down to Maryland. It just stopped putting out sound but the head unit was still playing. I pulled the fairing apart to check all connections and everything was fine. The lights on the amp were all a steady green , so no problem there. I have the pioneer 6000 and 6x9 arc speakers with arc amp. I let it sit and the tried over and over but nothing. Then parked for the night , tried in the morning and the thing works fine. Rode all the way back to Buffalo, NY with no problem. Cant figure it out.

I had the same issue running all 4 speakers off the amp.. Drop the rear 2 speakers and let them run from teh Head Unit...problem solved and the sound doesnt change too drastically

Default Arc amp

As for the ARC 4-channel amp, it's unlikely that it can be installed in an EG or SG without significant modification to the vertical (black) fairing brackets to accommodate the wiring connections to the amp. On an RG, the amp can be installed between the glove box and inner fairing.

If you want a 4-channel in-fairing amp on an EG or SG, take a look at the new Hogtunes 4-channel amp. It's 40W X 4 (160 watt).
Not true! Arc Audio amps fit in EG or SG perfectly. I have a 2014 SG with Arc 600.4 amp. Easy install NO modification.

I have an arc 125.2 amp and easily run 4, 6.5 focal speakers off the amp and it never kicks off

They are wired as per the previous thread and sound great.
