Default Lowering kits

Has anyone used the kit from Burly to lower the rear. I want to use one on a 07 Ultra.

Other than maybe having to space the top bag mounts out qtr. inch, you shouldn't have any problem.

I did. Works just fine....no changes in handling or ride quality. One point of info on this install: don't know about the '07 frame, but previous years have a "ridge" in the middle where the two halves of the Burly extension clamp on to. The "ridge" must be smoothed for the halves to mate properly and be a secure fit. You'll need a Dremel tool or a die -grinder for this task......grind away the "ridge".....be sure to get the bottom of the frame area, and be patient, taking as little material away as needed. It isn't much........trial fitting as you go. Once you are satisfied, remove the units, paint the exposed steel black, let dry and re-install.

Sounds like a lot of work, but it really isn't........took me maybe 2 hours.

Is the ridge that needs to be ground down on the swingarm or the Burly kit?
