Default 95 build and terry components

Ok lets make this easier, Anyone out there using the Terminal Velocity and are you happy with it?

Just finishing up my 95 build using HTCC heads, HTCC pistons, big bore Jugs, Roller Rockers and S&S 570G Gear drive Cams.

I think I want to can the PCIII and go to a closed loop sys and looking at the terry components sys, my questions are this.

Is there anything better out there?

Is anyone using this sys? If so what’s your take on it?

Would it be better to have two sensors (for front and rear cylinders)? Or is there not such a thing out there?

Last thing is I have heard you still need to use a stage II HD flash when using terry components (something to do with changing the timing).

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions.

Bruce

Been wondering the same thing? I like the idea behind the Terry's setup.

I see when searching this item that there are several people that purchased this 4 to 12 months ago, sure would like to hear from some of you to see if it is what you thought it was and if you are happy with it.

Thanks.

Well, I got one, fixin to install it next week and I'll see just how well it does work. After many calls to them trying to get my head around it I feel pretty comfortable with it. I specifically asked them about 95", heads and cams.

One interesting thing they told me is that I don't have to remove the PC III unless I wanted to. Said I could run the map and it would adjust from that. Not sure why I'd want to do that, but he said I could. I was told by others that at WOT it would revert to the map and that may be what he was talking about.

I've never seen any "detailed" info from anyone after they've installed it, although I keep looking.

Don't have a 95 build, but I've got an 06 Street Glide(Stage 1, V&H Dresser duals w/ Ovals, Dyno tuned w/ a SERT) that's pretty much stock for now, and plan on doing upgrades in the future. It runs ok even with the 8* injectors, but I get some decel popping and backfiring. I think it can do better. I like what I've read about the TV II and the idea of having a closed loop system. I'll be installing one on the bike this weekend. Gonna put the the O2 snesor in the fornt head pipe. I'll be happy to give an honest report and let ya' know what it gets me after a few 100 miles. Hopefully it'l do what it says and I won't have to worry about forking out any more money for dyno tunes when I do upgrades in the future.

I have heard that the TVII can only do so much and there for the bike must be close in the A/F in order for it to work as stated. My guess is when they say its ok to leave the PCIII on board is so you can tune to your mods then let the TVII do the rest.

I was hoping for a one item tunner to just make things right with out having to go make the dyno guys pocket fat every time I change something. I was also told you need to have aleast the stage 2 down load to handel the timing as the TVII does nothing to the timing.

Guess I need to pick up the phone I would rather hear the real time experiences from you all then the guy who just looking to sell his product.

Well here goes my 1st post...
I'm using the TVII on my 04 electra glide EFI. Installed it when I installed reinharts this past April.
I thought that the modual was easy to install and it seemed to work flawlessly. I was pleased about the fact that I did not have to have a new down load from the local HD dealer.

I completed this build just one week ago: Wiesco 95in forged 10.5-1 pistons, stage one head work, andrews 55g cams, high lift valve springs, oil cooler, adj push rods, ect

Once again the TVII "flashed green" and I thought it was time to enjoy the power.

However, I guess the bike needs to have the stage II flash to pick up the timing/ignition changes.

I have called Terry Components each day this week (several times a day) for their input but to no avail. I guess they are just too busy installing new systems during the ralley (they are in Spearfish SD just up the road from Sturgis) to help with my questions.

I'll get it flashed tomorrow and post the results.

Daytona TwinTec has a new two channel closed loop ECM ~ IT's a complete system that reads and contols both cylinders individually, based on their respective AFR's.

It's a pretty sweet setup....

Bingo!! thats what i heard all so, seems if that you just cant get away from the dealer. But seems if though I can leave the PCIII on to correct the timing but then agin just how much crap ya got to put on to tune it right, one goes bad and your sitting on the side of the road.

Now this sounds good, I'm off to check this one out. Thanks
