I went into limp mode once.
Rainstorm on vacation. Next dealer was 30+ miles away. Limp mode in the rain really sucked.
Guys pulled me right in. Asked a couple questions and seemed to know exactly what to do.
Played around for 20 minutes, took her for a spin and all better.
Mechanic told me that I should have used dielectric grease when installing the PC-V under the seat to the ECM. I felt really stupid. PC-V instructions didn't say to do so but I really should have thought to do it anyway.

So that might be something on your list to check when you are checking the servo pins.

I have a problem that might be related to the thread but I'll make it it's own post for people skimming...

I've got a TBW problem right now that I can't nail down. Most everyone in this thread is reporting limp mode though, and I'm not actually getting limp mode. Although I'm not getting limp mode I do feel I'm getting decreased performance. Anyone ever heard of having like 75% throttle without experiencing limp mode? I can go highway speeds but feel like I just can't go as fast as I used to be able to do.

So the bike will start fine, and warm up fine, but as soon as I straighten out the bars the bike will rev itself, often pretty darn high. *embarrassing* This started happening pretty much all the time. Bike always runs perfectly fine once I start moving. Idle might be a tad high, and (mostly) normal operation while riding.

Codes are P1510, P2138, 61004, C1095, and C1216

I bought some DeoxIT D5 to clean the servo connectors and will use a bunch of dielectic grease when I put it back together.

I've already removed the zip tie's at the neck to make sure nothing is pinching there, but if it is an intermittent break in the wire I don't know what I'm gonna do. Can't really diagnosis an intermittent break, right? I'd just have to figure out which wire(s) it can be and splice? Then hope it fixes it? If not I spliced for nothing? Anyone know what color that wire(s) is?

Last resort would be the actual TBW sensor. Last b/c I have internally wired bars so that would be a real bitch. I bought the SE version TBW so no splicing and no green connector. Ya can't run one externally to experiment that I can figure out without removing the one being used now. So that will be my last step after everything else is eliminated.

Does any of this ring a bell with anyone? Know someone that has experienced anything like this and what the fix was?
