Default FLHTP exhaust

I have a 2004 Police Glide FLHTP-I with stock pipes. My buddy has some pipes off of his 07 Electra that he is not using. Will these true dual pipes that he has work on my bike? What is the difference from 04 to 07?

I don't think so... 04 is 88", 07 is 96". Although Police bikes a usually a larger CID, I doubt the exhaust ports are the same. Be patient, someone who really knows will chime in. Welcome to the forums!!

Ask your buddy who the mfr. was of the pipes, then check their website for fitment information--best to get information from the "horse's mouth" so to speak.

Generally speaking, the right side mouting bracket will be different from your '04 because of the six-speed transmission introduced in '07.

PS: The '04 police EG has the same OEM exhaust as a civilian '04 EG, so any that will fit the civilian '04 model will work on your bike.

thanks for the input, they are V&H headpipes and their wesite says that the pipes from an 07 will fit 07-08.

The only difference between 06 down and 07-08 head pipes is the 07-08 pipes have an 02 bung. I have an 06 Electraglide Classic w/ 07 head pipes so I can use the 02 bungs for my Thunder max Auto tune. They are stock pipes though...

I just got a new 2010 Police Glide FLHTP and have a friend who is willing to give me his old V&H Pro Pipe. We know it doesn't have the bungs for the 02s but he said he could weld them in. Other than that would it bolt up to my bike? His was an 88 and mine is a 103 but isnt that all internal differences? 5 speed to 6 speed might get me though. Anyone that could let me know please?

I have an 07 FLHTP, better have your buddy give me his pipes, since you won't be using them...

the pipes from the '07 should work on the'04. Just have to plug the O2 bungs, and maybe modify the mount at the transmission. Pretty cheap price for some true duals.

They will work. The 07 pipes have bungs for O2 sensors, which you will have to plug unless you are using something like a thundermax auto tune.
