So after 2 weeks and a ton of horribly spent money, I decided to put my Boarzilla back on and eat the money on my new Samson cholo fishtails. why anyone would put such a poor performance pipe on a bike is beyond me. but i learned a hard, and very expensive lesson.
Me and a couple buddies started taking the pipes off, which led to us messing with the suspension, and doing other little upgrades. Went to put the Boarzilla back on, needed more room, and to make a long story short, my whole bike is torn apart right now.
Getting the Boarzilla back on is proving to be a little bit more challenging than we anticipated. its a real tight fit. we ran out of time and patience today after wrenching for about 5 hours on the bike. hopefully tomorrow with fresh patience and eyes we'll get it handled.
anyone know anyone looking for a brand new set of Samson true dual fishtails? LOL. send em my way!
I loved the look of the samsons (and yes i did have the bike retuned; the dyno chart alone almost made me stab myself in the eye), but in terms of bike performance, a nearly 20 horsepower difference, was waaaaaay too much to stomach.
I just ordered a ghost pipe from d&d. actually I ordered it 3 weeks ago, and yesterday they told me it was going to be another 2 weeks before it was back from the chromers. not sure wtf is going on there, but at least its not a necessary component for my bike!
