I think all bike speedometers are off.

No not at all I never direct comments towards individuals (well sometimes, but not this time). Just thought that other than hearing explanations of everyone else's speedo's & GPS's you would want to know how they function.

tedcmiller.....NOT 15' out of a mile......that's 15 feet accuracy of where you are located. Point being is commercial grade GPS's aren't accurate...I wouldn't expect the MPH to be accurate either. I have no clue whether my MPH on the bike is accurate or the GPS is accurate..I tend to believe the one that is slower

Most speedos on all vehicles are off, always in the same direction. The law says a speedo can read higher but NEVER lower. So, if you are going 60 and your speedo says 63, no problem with it. If your speedo says 60 and you are going 63 the MOCO has vilolated the law and most likely this will never happen, so get used to a few mph variance.
