You only pay taxes in the state where you live is my understanding of it.

I bought mine in PA in Nov and only had to pay Tax in MD when I titled it. I guess other states could charge different but I've done deals in a few other local states with same thing.

You should only have to pay taxes in the state where you title it, regardless of where you live, and where you buy the bike. If you are close to the state line you could do a little comparison shopping to see which has cheaper taxes.

They will get you(tax) when you register it in your home state.
The dealer you are buying from should know that..

Bought two Bikes in Florida. Had to pay Tennessee Sales tax when I got it Title'd. Always pay where you title it and live. You have to have a residence or an address to title it in another state.

You should ONLY pay sales tax once. I live on the border on AZ, CA, NV and have bought in all 3 states. If they don't charge you sales tax (because you are from out of state) then you pay when you register/title it. If you paid at point of sale you just pay the regular registration fees.

Here's a novel thought, call your DMV & ask what the rules are concerning your state & the one where the vehicle is. I purchased a car in South Carolina. They had a reciprocal arrangement with Florida. The two states handled the issue. I paid the fees when I bought the car & picked up the tags without handing out any more money. I'll guarantee that no one here knows the rules in your states.
