M50 - AR has some great roads with lots twisties. I just got back from 4 days of riding through AR. Many of the counties are dry. If you google Mario Caruso he has a book of some of the best roads and routes through AR. Many people say Hwy 7, while this is really good take Hwy 123 that makes an "s" around Hwy 7. This is a great road with lots of twisties and beautiful scenery. The Pig Trail (hwy 23) is another great road. Many sections of this road are completely tree covered. Like driving through a tunnel. Pretty awesome.

Hwy 14 from Mo state line to Mtn View is another great road. We stayed at "The Hub" (phone number 1-800-597-9963) which is a biker hotel just south of Harrison on Hwy 7. No frills, but lots of bikers. It is in a dry county, but if you call ahead they will have beer there for you.

You can't go wrong with staying in Eureka Springs. There is another biker hotel there too. Just google it.

You can also google for a free online pamphlet for best motorcycle routes in AR. There is also a great web-site that has some suggested roads http://www.motorcycleroads.com/.

If you want to PM me I can send you the routes we took if you want some ideas. We covered about 300 miles each day starting in SE OK, through Talimena scenic highway over to Magazine Mtn and up Pig Trail to Eureka Springs. Then took Hwy 23 north out of ES in to MO then East across Table Rock Lake and then south on Hwy 14 to Mtn View. Quant little town. Had lunch there then over to the "Hub". Thenext day took Hwy 7 down to Hwy 374 over to Hwy 123. Took Hwy 123 to Hwy 164 back to Hwy 7 south down through Russelville. Took Hwy 27 south and then Hwy 28 to Mena.

We had a great time and will be doing it again soon.

Have a great time!!!

Default Ark. Ride

Hithere,

Hot Springs Arkansas is a great place to visit. Great roads, lots of curves and hills to rides. Great views of lakes and many bath houses to visit. Overall the people are nice. Watch out for drivers, even though there are a lot of bikes I had to avoid from being hit many times. But overall the visit this past week was great. I rode over twelve hours on my road king custom to get there...
There is a HD shop which is sorta small but if you need any attention for your hog, well there you go...
There is a small place to visit, great steaks. Its right on the downtown, man i cannot remember the name but if i do i will let you know. Its very popular thou... God Luck and Good Riding..

Arkansas Motorcycle Events.
Just an FYI: Mena Arkansas is in a Dry County.

There is beer, about 20 minutes away in Oklahoma tho!!

You can't beat the roads, the scenery, and the "Biker Friendly" attitude in Eureka Springs.

Ride Highway 14 to Peal Ar. ride the ferry across the lake and you will ride into Missouri.
At Theodosia Mo. (10 miles from the Ar. line) eat at a place called Cookies.
Highway 14 is also a popular motorcycle road.

All of the above are in Northern Ar.

You will be in my neck of the woods so if you have any questions PM me and I will help you out.

I just got back from a trip to Eureka Springs and have been to all these places and they are all great. After you cross the ferry into Missouri there is a small pizza place called Tony's Pizza that has some of the coldest beer I've ever seen. At Cliff House if I'm not remembering wrong the drop of the back balcony is about 50 or 60 feet opening up to a large valley below and hummingbirds out the ***. If you go to Queen Wilhamena Lodge that area is dry so you have to bring your own.

I'll be riding over to Eureka Springs for the blues festival next week. Four days of great music, food and riding.
