Redline in your tranny
I still believe that the shockproof is superior oil for my tranny. I do not regret changing to it and will stick with it, but after riding it all afternoon, I don't see any difference in performance, shifting clunking, shifting ease or finding neutral. I wasn't due for any fluid changes for 2,000 more miles, but I have a trip that will be more than 2,000 miles that I hope to leave on Wednesday. I just thought it would be cool to change the tranny oil now and see this great improvement that everyone brags about. I have never been too uptight about schedules or tranny or primary oil changes, but would rather change 2,000 miles early than 1,000 miles late on any motor.
I am done with syn 3, but only because the nearest HD dealer is 30 miles from my house and I can buy whatever else I want including oil for my other vehicles 15 miles from my house.
I am not bashing redline at all. Again, I think it is a geat oil, but it didn't perform any magic on my tranny, just hopefully will make it last longer.
