Hey guys just wanted to say thanks to the guys on one of the threads about bagger wobble...dont remember who ...doh.. I checked my back wheel with an 8ft aluminm straigt edge by jacking the bike up ( pit bull lift) and runnung it across the back wheel projecting it foward and discoverd that they where out 5/8 of an in... So i loosend the front motor mount and adj the top and bottom stabilizers (same amount of turns) and using a big screw driver to releave preasure on the bottom motor mount i lined it up.. Tightend the mounts and links. I used the manual for the basic concept and tourqe specs but the mo co way is to much bull crap and special tools that u dont need.. I little comon sence can go a long way.. Any way the bike cruses at 100mph like its in f---in rails compaird to the way it used too at 85 and whipin allover the place... Good luck charlie
PS I ALWAYS HAD THE TRW BRACE AND IT HELPED WHEN I PUT IT ON BUT THE BIKE WAS STILL A LITTLE SQUARRLIE AT HIGH SPEEDS , I ALSO PUT IN STA-BOS BUSHINGS AND I THINK THEY DO WORK TO, THEY DO INCREASE THE VIBRATION, SO WHAT, THE END RESULT IS THAT THIS F---ER IS LIKE ITS GLUED TO THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not sure how moving your motor would straghten out your rear wheel alignment. Can you be more specific and detailed please. I would like to check mine out.
the motor and trans r connected to the rear swing arm. there is no adj at the swing arm. when u move the front mounts it moves the rear swing arm... if u have a brace on it i should take the link out and adj ur wheels them attach the bagger brace after, it may intefear with the adj.. thats how i did it,it works prefect..
yes a lot of bikes require doin an alignment ive done it my self on mine, my bike suffered from seriouse bagger swagger i installed the glide pro parts and did an alignment and it was not even the same bike anymore, the glidepro fixes the real problem, good luck
