Default Road Glide Steers Right

New to the forum so please bear with me.
I ride an 06 Road Glide. Original owner. Since I owned it it has always steered right when going straight down the road.

Yes the plastic parts all look crooked but what I mean by steers right is that besides feeling like my left hand is reaching out fiurther than my right, If I look over the front of the gas tank at the front wheel, it is definitely turned to the right.

I' had the alignment checked a couple of times and gone through all the crap with the dealership telling me they are all like that and so forth. I've read some posts here and elsewhere that talk about pulling to the left but never found any mention of the front wheel.

Love my bike and it handles great in the "twisty's so I've dealt with this but sometimes it really drives me nuts.

Any comments welcome.

I have an 08 Road Glide. It too does not go straight when hands are off the bars. But then agian nither did my Honda VTX. Not very noticable as I always ride with hands on.

Think it is pretty normal.... sorry it bugs you.\

Welcome. I would venture to say it is out of alignment from day one and the dealer doesnt know how to fix it. I would find a GOOD indy shop or better yet find a good race team in your area and see who they would recommend. That really sux and to think youve been putting up with it for so long.
If you are a good mechanical person, you can buy the alignment tools and do it yourself, but the tool is $600 through JP Cycles.

Where are you located in NOr Cal? I can get you some good names in the bay area.

If your handlebars are crooked in relation to your front tire, something in the triple trees is out of shape.

If your handlebars are straight in relation to the front tire then your engine/trans is probably not aligned correctly in the frame. You can perform the alignment procedures outlined in the shop manual. Not hard.

If your handlebars are straight, front tire is straight, and you have an 09+, your screwed because there is no engine/trans alignment....

It doesn't veer hard off center at all. I can ride for long distances with my hands off the bars and correct by just shifting my weight.

I'm in Vallejo. I'm considering tackling the job myself. Wanted to get some input first.

I checked it out. I've been thinking about doing this myself. Sounds pretty staightforward.
