Default 1000,mile service

I was just wondering how many did it themselves? Or did you take it to a Harley dealership?

It is very easy. Do it yourself, check off from list in manual, and it doesnt hurt to keep receipts for oil and filter. Stuff them in the back of the manual.

I did the fluids myself, and took the bike to the dealer to do everything else. Cost me $110. Did this to cover the warranty.

Letting the dealer do mine because its free. Well I guess not really free because I paid $36K for it.

BTW ... if you don't want to do it yourself, talk with some folks and find a good indy.

Get a Service Manual and do it yourself. Easy and you will learn so much about your bike.

Do you have to carry it to the dealer for the 1000 mile check up for you warranty ?
new to the game just got the 10 street glide and its a few miles from needing the checkup.

No but it helps to be able to show evidence that the service was performed

The warranty will still be valid if you do your own work, provided that you can show receipts for the fluids and filter.

I have done all the services from day one on my 08 Ultra. It does not void the warranty if you do it yourself. Make damn sure that you document everything that you do to it and keep a record/log book with dates and mileages and keep all reciepts for oil and filters.
