Ok question, I am looking to do a set of slip ons on a 09 street glide, I am torn between Monster Ovals and Jackpost. I want something a LITTLE louder but still able to cruise. We do average 350 miles a day and do not want my head to hurt at the end of the day! What do you guys think?
I have a set of monster ovals on 2010 limited with 5000+ miles mostly on rides from 225 miles to 350 miles in length. I have never come away with a headache yet. I listen to the radio either throu the headset or open speakers with no trouble unless i am in a lot of wind then I have to use the headset to get a clear sound. In other words the wind is more intrussive than the monsters.

Are you happy with the sound? I have heard they are not much louder than stock. I just want a bit more sound but not like the Big Shots I had my Night Train
I've got the MOs love 'em. I just did a 1600 mile round trip and I still enjoyed my radio the whole way...and I'm also running dresser duals and S&S 510 cams.
Couldn't be happier with the MOs.

I chose the Jackpots for the sound and the performance gain....I do love the look of the Monster Ovals....
Bottom Line, they both sound great, they both look good and are made well. Jackpots will give you a better performance gain if all you are doing is a stage 1. Monster's are a little louder and look great.
Really comes down to what You want...
Try to listen to both in person to help you decide for sure.

From what I have heard the monsters were the quiter of the two.
I have the monsters and love them. Not to loud at idle or cruise, but you can hear them when you get on it hard. Never been bothered by noise on long trip.
