you might want to try this place....day long...its guaranteed after you give them an opportunity to fix the problem a couple of times http://www.day-long.com/ wait, i think thats a russel business. I have an ultimate on my 102 Yamaha but it bothers me after about an hour. you could always buy a side car. the seat on my 2010 ultra classic is more comfortable than the Ultimate but thats just me.
If seat height isn't an issue for your wife consider an Impact Gel Pad. I test drive one on my seat but it raised me up a bit too high. Would be great for a passenger though.
I need some input on a seat for my 2009 FLHTCU with a 1in lower progressive suspension. Riding now on a hammock seat by harley.
Issue is my wife has a back and butt problem from years of riding. Bumps just kill her and a bad one early on a trip will cause her to suffer for 2-3 days.
Would a Mustang royal seat be better for her w/o raising my seat height too much or should I go to Harleys Road ZeppelinŽ Air Adjustable Seat.
I don't want to throw anymore good money after bad on seats.
I want to make my partner happy and as pain free as possible
The seat may not be he issue;lowering the suspension an inch may be the culprit.
I'm a huge Corbin fan. I've had 7 or 8. My wife loves the Corbin dual Tourer. Yes, it is firm. But that's by design. Provides much more support for long rides, and once you get used to it, it's the only way to go. Might consider picking something up on EBay cheaper, try it, find out what works, and then sell it on EBay if necessary, and try something else till you get it dialed in. It's no fun when Momma's not happy. Good Luck
I have a new HD Sundowner for sale, most people say it's the most comfy seat HD makes. I would take $240 for it from a forum member and ship it on my dime. It would be a low $ investment to try,if it didn't work out you could probably sell it on ebay and make a few bucks.Let me know if you are interested. The seat is new in the box I got it though an insurance claim and never used it because I already had a good seat.
EDIT: Sundowner is sold

The Hammock seat don't have a lot of foam in them, we have quit working on them because the seat is going have issues later on due to the lack of foam. The best touring seat for a FLHT on the market right now is the new Low seat. Not knowing you or your wife heights and weights its pretty hard to make a good determination as to what will work best but that is the less expensive option.

BadX Have you worked on one of the new seats. Would like to know if you can improve the ground reach on it?

We have been working on a lot of the new seats and they modify very well. The seat has so much foam in them that it allows us to reshape the seats to lower the riding position even more than it is up to 2 full inches with no issues and narrow the section where your legs go down even more. These are a lot like the older(99-07)seats with a lot of foam in them.
