C & C Seats custom made to your specifications w/out the custom price.
It will be the next seat that I get..have not heard 1 negative on it on this site.
That in itself speaks volumes to me.

Ditch the wife. Keep the seat. Or turn up the radio so you can't hear her complaining.

Seriously, the Road Zeppelin is quite a seat, but it's a big sucker. I've got one on my Ultra and it changes the look of the bike, to be sure.

try the arnott air system, you can raise and lower your bike in a couple of seconds. but more you can stiffen or soften the ride in the same time. When we ride I will adjust the ride so we both don't feel the bumps much. We love it.

I agree. Start from the ground up. I have finally cured bottoming out on my bike, by fitting superior shocks. Only after the ride quality is improved is it worth considering a seat. Give Howard at HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal a call and talk through custom shocks tailored to suit you both.

My wife and I did a 2,500 mile tour last year and she had had enough shortly after halfway. This year we did a similar trip with our Ohlins and she was fine through the whole trip, on the same Corbin seat. She calls our suspension upgrade "an unqualified success"!

Be careful with the Ultimat seat. We bought one for our last bike and despite the fact that it looks like a very comfy seat, my wife and I both hated it. Wife said that within 30 miles she felt like the foam had collapes and she was sitting on the seat pan. I found that it gave me severe back pain. Luckily they have a money back policy for 30 days and they took the seat back with no problems.
We replaced it with a mustang seat which worked good for us but it wasn't a harley.

I only have a 29" inseam so on my 2009 ultra I put on the shorter rear shocks and the new for 2010 (change was in January I believe) lower seat and I can actually flatfoot the bike.

One thing about Mean City Cycles is they won't give you bad advice just to make a sale. I asked for their advice after I got my Road King and took it on a 2500 mile ride over 8 days. By the time I got to Bozeman I was ready to ditch the stock seat for just about anything else. I waited 'til I got home, consulted Mean City here on the forum because I was thinking maybe they could modify that stock seat. Rather than take my money to do something they knew wouldn't make me comfortable, they recommended the Sundowner. I've been very happy with it. If I ever do need a modification to my seat, I know where I'm going.

I just switched out my sundowner for a mustang super touring seat just for her. The thing with seats is it's a compromise for both of you. I went with the Mustang for 2 reasons. 1) I have had them in the past and liked them. 2) they give you 10 days from the time you receive it to try it out. If you don't like it send it back.

I saw a set up Monday that I thought looked really good. A guy had a police seat with a Mustang pillion made to match. He said his wife really liked the pillion, and the police seat was extremely comfortable for him. Might be an option.

Give Mark a call at Diamond Custom Seat. I have one on my Valkyrie and had 2 on Gold Wings and am ready to spring for one on the Ultra.
It is built to your height, weight and inseam. Also for the passenger. Ride all day.
