No, I have a stock height Clearview with the recurve. It works well.
I have tried the KW 12" and the Cee Bailey 14". Both of those windshields look AWESOME. But for wind management, the SUCK! Did I say that loud enough SUCK! For blocking wind, the stock shield is better and the Clearview is the best. I dropped a lot of coin figuring this out. I don't care what folks that have a KW say, they're wrong. Those shields are designed to shoot all the wind at your forehead and ears (and I am only 5' 9").
What worked for me was scrapping the w/s that came on my 09 and replacing with the same item that was on my 01 RG.
HD part number 75958-98A 20,000 miles later I'm still an un-buffeted happy rider.
With stock windshield
