Default SE 203 Cams Installed....Impressions

Well, I finally got a chance to get my own bike on the lift and installed a set of SE 203 cams in my 2007 Road King Custom.

Honestly, if I didn't come across these cams dirt cheap I would have went with something alittle more aggresive but I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Nice increase in power across the entire board. It's not going to win any dyno wars but for what I was after, I'm happy.

What I was most impressed with was the noise, or lack of it. These are the first performance cams that I have installed and are indeed, as quiet as stock. In this case, quieter. I pulled the top end and used the stock pushrods.

Any negitive I can come up with also is in regards to noise, or lack of it. Exhaust note. Not much louder then stock.

Hat's off to Jamie at FuelMoto who provided me with a revised map for the cams. Dead on!

Over all, very happy........

My buddy has them in a 95" big bore 02 RKC. Sound nice and lopey at idle but come on a little too high in the rpm band for a bagger for my style of riding. I think his numbers are like 87tq 89hp.

the 203's should give you some pretty good grunt at the bottom end. Nice for passing and such. BTW that is a very sharp looking RK.

My wife just put 204s in her '02 Road King and that sucker really pulls a lot more than it used to. A little more jumpy at idle, but it really shows some grunt in the low-mid range. She easily pulls away from my bike now, which she never used to be able to do. Very happy with the 204s. I've heard the 203s are a good choice also.

I put some 203's in my bike about a year ago as I got them really cheap. I really like the performance I get from them. Maybe it has been too long since I have ridden a bike with a high performance engine, but thing get's up and goes great. I love the lope at idle too. My friends with stock bikes all want to know what kind of engine build I did. LOL. I guess I could probably get another 10 hp and tq from a 95" bb build without heads, but it is staying like it is for right now. Talk to me in 6 months and we'll see if that has changed.

I've been wondering if you'd gotten it done yet. Nice job, I think the mild cams are sometimes the best bet for street use.

Hey Mike, Thx for chimin' in...

Thanks for the compliments. I'm heading out for a couple hundred mile ride 2maro, I'll give some more feedback then.

As far as the bike, I'm dying to paint this thing but this blue has really grown on me..
