Man, I didn't expect the post to be so tall! They must have made it this way to accomodate an Ultra seat. Even at the lowest height setting there is a 5" gap from the top of the seat to the bottom of the backrest cushion.
I'm a little bummed out. Is my only option to cut 5" out of the post to bring it down?
Maybe one of the leather socks from the non adjustable version will make it look better.
Most of us who bought a back rest didn't buy it for the looks. IMO this thing paid for itself with my lower back. I can ride all day and not worry. But that's just me...comfort out weighed looks for this purchase
Honestly, there is no driver backrest that doesn't look bad. Touring bikes are about comfort and cool is secondary, but I can't stomach the look of a back rest sticking up out of the middle of a two up seat.
Hey Jags93, got any pictures of the backrest on the bike? I've heard several folks talking about how bad it looks but have not seen one in person.
