Default Help with O2 sensor!!!!

Is the O2 sensor socket a 7/8" on all late model touring bikes? I've trying to remove my thunderheader on my 09 RKC and need to know what size thi socket is. I am putting the 255 cams in and have a dyno tuner scheduled for Friday. Will my dealer have one in stock I can buy? They are closed today and I'm thinking about having one overnighted from matco tools. The one on their website is a 7/8". Is that what I need?

Yes its 7/8". Just use a box end wrench once the pipes are off the bike!

On my 07 Ultra I have used an open end 7/8 inch wrench to remove or install the O2 sensors with the pipes still on the bike. Wasn't too difficult to do. Once they are loose, you should be able to screw them out with your fingers. That has been my experience.

If you have a Harbor Freight or Sears in your area, you can pick up an o2 sensor socket there. Kind of handy for automotive applications too.
