Default O2 sensor question

I'll be helping a friend of mine with an exhaust removal / install next week. Do I need anything special to remove the O2 sensors or will an open end wrench do it? Didn't know if it required one of the specialty sockets.

I leave the sensors in the headers until I remove them from the bike. I then use a ring spanner with the header in a soft jawed vice to avoid marking them.

An open end will work if you can get to them.
Sometime a problem especially clearance to swing the wrench.

sometime a closed end can work after you disconnect the wires and thread the wrench on.

Its all tight. and pipes are different.
