Just ordered the 12" shocks myself.
I have a 21/18 setup and have no, i repeat, no dragging issues - and there is no unused tread on my r tire.
My buddy has a street glide on 16" wheels. He drags a good bit, but it isn't a problem and some think it is good to learn to love the sound of floorboards scraping
