Just ordered these Saddlemen chaps and bags from the DR. You can get them with or with out the storage bag. I need them for my trip North next week to Laconia. The doc hooked me up on delivery. They are first class.
As far as durability and stuff, I have no complaints. I've had them 2 years with no visible wear or anything. The only thing I don't like is how they attach - velcro pads with 3M tape to stick them to the inside of your lids. On hot days, sometimes they come unglued. Poor design. I don't know if the other brands adhere this way.
I have the HD covers and I didn't know other vendors had them w/o the velcro. If I had I would've went with one of them.
Besides the fact that you have to affix the velcro to the underside of the lids, the velcro is white! You can imagine how difficult it is to try and align the covers such that the white velcro doesn't show. Almost impossible so I colered them black with a permanent sharpi.
Had the moco covers on my '08 for 2 years, they were ok.Went with Mustang's set up,no velcro tabs, just fit over the lids.Look great.About the same price.
I first had the HD covers. Used them for a year but I didn't like the fit. I then got then the Lid-sack covers for our Sturgis trip last year. Use the roll bags for rain gear and extra cold weather gear. They worked well.
When I got my new Mustang seat, I bought the matching covers. They fit great, look great, and match. They are a tight slip fit without the velcro BS. I highly recomend them for ease of fit and look.
I'll never use the HD cover again and I'll only use the Lid-sack covers if I want more cargo room. In the meantime, I'm learning tha value of packing lighter and smaller.
Sorry I don't have a better picture. Note that the material matches the Mustang seat. It is more of a mat black color.
