Hi, i just took 2 j&m 5 1/4 front speakers out of my 07 electraglide they are 1 year old and perfect ,i upgraded to 7 1/4 i will ship them to ya for $50 i paid $130 they sound much better then stock and a little louder. send me a pm if interested. Bill
I've done 3 stereo upgrades & I finally found what I wanted. 09 EG Classic. Hertz-Titan speakers in front w/the ARC mini amp. Also an amplified subwoofer in the tourpak. Hells Foundry Woof Pak. It's nicer than most cars & you'll turn heads because people will be able to hear the bass thumpin' before you get to them! It's great. No more upgrades for me.
I also was not looking to add and amp etc. but wanted something better than the stock speakers and decided to give the Boom Audio speakers a try.
They are better than stock and have a good sound. You'll still get some distortion if you crank it but I have no problem hearing the radio or mp3 player at highway speeds.
But since sound is subjective to everyone I would suggest maybe seeing if you can find someone local who has them and give them a listen first.
Similar experience here. For the price, they're a good option.
Always amazes me on this forum how an OP can ask a question about a certain product and get a bunch of replies like... I don't own those but the ones I have are better anyway ? WTF ? or.. save your money and buy these instead. If you don't even own the product, how in the world do you know yours are better ?
I did buy the Boom speaker upgrade for my 09 Ultra Classic fairing, and like them. I got them when they were 20 % off.... around $120/set. My local dealer is having another 20 % off sale this weekend for Father's day and I'll be getting the set for the tour pak. They sound just fine.. I listed to Led Zepp.. KoRn.. Killswitch engage.... etc.
