You can order quarts of your color from the dealer. Some colors like the pearl colors require a base color a top coat color and the clear be sure they order all the colors you need and the activator.
You like that look? Saw a 07 SE ultra, with it painted gloss black, shiny as hell! I garantee on a sunny day reflection will not be nice, and it showed every finger that had touched it, I will keep the dull black myself.
I have been looking at a few of them and decided to give it a shot.
Gunrunner,I thought the same thing till afriend of mine did the same and said the glare was no problem ,the fingerprints, yeah you're right but hell i always wipe this scoot down so I will be use to it.I hope the paint at the dealer is allI need,i know the reducers and thinner ;the body shop should have.Just getting another winter project lined up..
Cobalt blue here. No glare issues at all. A lot of people say that but I've never had an issue. Not any more glare than what's coming off your tank or console. It's easy to keep clean and doesn't leave greasy prints like on the flat black piece.

Take out a second mortgage before you go to the 'stealership. I bought a small (smaller than a nail polish bottle) bottle of Vivid Black touch up paint.....$10.00. I couldn't imagine what they'd want for a quart of the stuff...And was too afraid to ask. But I think I heard it was around $90 for a pint.
Have the body shop paint it with some automotive black. Probably whatever they use on the Saturns or 'Vettes. If your trying to match a specific color, I'd get in touch with the House of Kolors folks.
Let's quite funding the MoCo on some of this stuff.......God knows they got ya by the short hairs on a lot of things.
It is PPG paint. We sell it where I work. They mixed up a pint of black cherry pearl for some hard saddlebags I bought and used the recommended PPG clear and it is a 100% match. Got rid of the bike now, put on the factory leather, so I have a nice set of hard bags sitting in my basement.
