Thinking of adding bagger brace to my 03 Ultra Classic. Has anyone equipped their bike with one? Does it make a noticable difference?
Also is this a shop job or an at home in the garage job.

Put the Bagger Brace from Phoenix Customs on my ’01 Ultra Classic this winter. Installation was straight forward with the only glitch being to have to straighten the cross-brace under the transmission. It is not uncommon for the cross-brace to be bent, so, if you do have trouble installing, use the phone number provided and call Phoenix Customs. Ron is knowledgeable and was quite helpful with the tips and advice. After I got it straightened, the installation was no problem.
Just got back from Gatlinburg, TN and have to say I noticed a big difference in handling. Rode from southern Ohio, through KY, part of VA and into TN. Round trip was around 1500 miles. Rode double with saddlebags and tour pak full along with another bag on top of tour pak. This is a trip I’ve made a few times on this bike and have felt the “bagger wobble”. Even though we didn’t ride the Dragon this time, there were plenty of other twisty roads. The bike was definitely more stable on both the sharp twistys and on the big higher-speed highway sweepers. For me, it was well worth the money.
