My 07 Street Glide has a Harley oil cooler I put on and the oil pressure is a little higher until the oil hits the 180 degree, then the oil cooler opens up. The pressure drops that quick to normal about a little above the 32 read maybe 40. I don't think 60 though.
Sny3, 255 cams, V & H duals.
When did the pressure uncrease occur? Was it right after any mods, changes, or addiitons? If so maybe when the oil cooler was installed a hose was 'skived' and a partial blockage has occured, which would account for a pressure increase.

We need more information....
The oil cooler was installed before I took delivery about 8000 miles ago.
The 510G cam set was installed in April at my 5k service, right before I took the bike on a 1600 mile round-tripper.
I just noticed this earlier this week. Maybe the thermostat on the oil cooler isn't working and won't open up the valve to let the oil flow through the cooler?
Mine was acting the same as yours last year. Opened it up and checked cam tensioners and found dirt, crud, something making my oil relief spring stick. But mine is a 2006 EGU with 20000 on it at the time.
Hmm... Could be. I think I'll call the service dept at the local stealership and see what they have to say, just for the peace of mind.

Ok-- test the oil cooler bypass by gettting the bike up to temperature and put your hand near, then on, the cooler. If there is flow through the cooler you will know by the heat in the cooler if it's bypassing or not.....
So for me that begs the question, "How much is the oil pressure supposed to fluctuate?"
I just had the 5k service done. I never noticed the dramatic fluctuation before, but cruising at 70 or so, pressure is around 32. At a stop light, it drops to almost 0. Is this normal? It even fluctuates from slightly above 32 to around 20 depending on when I shift. Is this normal, too? I have a stock setup - no cooler or engine modifications.
Don't mean to hijack this thread, but maybe it will help keep the oil pressure questions in one place.
