Yeah I'm thinking the WildOnes 508s or 518s might be worth trying. Anyone know if stock wires and cables will work on these bars? I want to install the wires in the bars.

This is good to hear. I'm having the same problem, and I've talked with a lot of people. Every single person says handlebars. I'm looking at PYO Monkey Bars 10" or 12". I still haven't gotten a solid answer on the dimensions of my stock bars though (2010 FLHX). But UP and BACK is what the solution seems to be.

I am 6'5" and had the same problem. 16"apes on my RK and it's not a problem anymore. It helped me sit upright instead of hunched over.

I really like the look of the Wild One 508. Im not to sure about the wheel barrow effect everyone is talking about, but when I put my hands on an imaginary handle bar it doesnt feel like it would matter to me. From their website it shows that it puts you back in the seat.. and I feel like thats what I need. Seems like guys are having to change their throttle cables and wire extensions for the internal wiring... brake lines might need to be changed, but the clutch cable can stay. I just need to add up the costs and figure out if its something I can afford or not.

Wild One 517's here too. The cables didn't have to be changed, but the mechanic did have to do wire extensions. I love these handlebars. I had changed to the Heritage bars, but was still getting intense shoulder and arm pain. I think it wasn't just the reach, but also the angle of my wrists. The 517's did the trick. I'm short, 5'3" if that helps any.

My choice; WO502 CHUBBYŽ 12-˝" APES.

Look at the 508s picture from wild1inc. (below) and you'll see the throttle cables are stretched tight and so is the brake line. My bet is that this is stock and it will "work":
