I get a pain just under both of my shoulder blades. Kind of like a pinch you might say... Im only 25 with no back problems that I know of. I am thinking this might be due to handle bars? Has anyone else has had similar pain and what bars solved it?
I LOVE the look of beach bars, but I dont want to make it even more painful to ride.
How´s your neck?
Suffered from Toraxic Outlet Syndrome a couple of years ago. Gave that pinch your refering to.
I would check that out. It´s possible to measure if nerves are getting pinched and it can be solved. I got measured up myself. Not a very pleasant examination with loads of needles pushed deep into muscles but it only lasts for an hour or so.
Nah.. When I'm off the bike I feel fine. And when I first get on the bike I feel fine. About an hour into a ride I start getting that pinching feeling right under sholder my shoulder blades. I usually can get the pain to go away if I hold the handle bars tight and lean back to stretch my shoulder blades apart.
I'm 5'10". Normal length arms and legs. Stock seat and a corbin classic solo.. I have this problem with both seats, even though the corbin sits me back on the bike an inch or so.
You need 12" Wild 1 apes. My buddy broke his neck working construction about 8 years ago. He just put 12"'ers on his EGC and has never been more comfortable.

Mini Apes
The common solution on this forum is a set of mini apes in the 11-14 inch range. I am only 27 and t boned a minivan that pulled in front of me causing me to have lower back and pain between the shoulders . I will be changing to an 11.5 inch bagger bar made by santee and hope this will solve some of my problems. it raises about 3.5 inches which seems about right for me.
Man I hate to hear that apes are the solution. I really think apes take away the looks of the RKC. Granted (especially with the RK), if you cant ride it comfortably, it doesnt really matter how pretty it looks.
Looking at this page at Wild 1s, I think the position leaning forward might be whats killing my blades. Scroll over the guys photo to see the difference in bars and posture. Pretty crazy!

I've got that exact same problem. I only get it on my right side, right where my trapezoid muscle is. I don't get it until after an hour or two. I try to use my cruise whenever possible and let my right hand sit on my leg and that helps a lot. I'm sure it's the bars, but I refuse to go with apes and have to relocate my mirrors.
had that on my rk need any bars that are taller /pulledback, it didnt take much for me i used a set of standard rk bars fom 90"rk they were a little narrower as well that let me mount them without any need for cables or lines.
