Default Tweeter Pod Options

Hey everyone,

I just got my hands on a Hogtunes tweeter pod. I'm really looking forward to installing it, but I need to have it refinished first.

I know there was a member here that had his covered by CC Seats in leather, like the OEM Harley dash pad. Well, I called CC, and they were saying it would be about $125.

My inner fairing is painted gloss black since I have the Screamin' Eagle Street Glide. Eventually, I could see myself having the inner colormatched to the Tequila Sunrise. I'm not sure that I wanna have the pod painted black to match now, and then painted again to match the Tequila.

I guess my question is, does anyone have any suggestions? I really like the idea of having it covered in leather.

Does anyone have any suggestions that could cover it, other than CC?

$125 really isn't all that bad, considering it would only have to be done once, and it's what I really would want.

Appreciate any advice.

If my inner fairing was already painted I would have the tweeter pod color matched. I have a Hogtune tweeter pod and I'll be getting it color match painted one of these days. Leather doesn't do well when it get wet.

I know, but I plan on having my inner painted to match the bike. Right now it's painted gloss black from the factory. Having the pod painted to match would mean painting it twice. I don't plan to have the inner painted until at least the off season.

Leather isn't a requirement, vinyl would be a consideration as well.

That's a kick *** idea though fish eye!! For sure..
There's a company that makes leather bras for touring bikes too not the vinyl.
Pretty $ pricey though but they look great!!

How would the the Hog Pod look painted gloss black against the Tequila Sunrise inner fairing? Or, Tequila Sunrise Hog Pod against gloss black inner? Nice contrast....(?) Then ready for when you paint the inner...(?) (sorry, cant really remember what color Tequila Sunrise is... ) I'm the guy that had C&C cover mine. I'm happy with mine, Chuy did a top notch job. Gets lots of attention at local bike nights & hang outs. Maybe a local upolstery/seat guy in CO.?
Good Luck! Dave

Dave,

I see you've gotten more "computer literate"!! Just kidding. I was stalking your tweeter pod a while back when you first shared it with us. I love that look a lot.

I think what may end up happening is that I wait and have everything painted at once this winter. The tweeters may have to wait and become a winter mod.

Hell, with the J&M 7.25'' speakers and the Arc amp, I'm not sure I NEED the tweeters, but I sure do want them.

Thanks for the input!
