I just bought an Ipod Shuffle to use with the bike. I didn't want to use my Ipod Touch. I also bought the auxillary cable so all is good. I already have all the songs in my Itunes library so I just chose about 150 of my favorites and put them on the new Shuffle. Here is the problem, I obviously can't switch through the songs but the volume is way too low. I have the stereo all the way up and I can barely hear the tunes at 30 mph. Any suggestions? Is there a way to turn up the volume on these Shuffles?
That is why I purchased the old style shuffle. It has a physical volume on it. Turn the volume up on the Ipod and then turn up the volume on stereo. You can still find them on Ebay.
Maybe use the headset to turn it up and then connect it?
I have the "good" old version of the shuffle and the first time I tried it on my bike over a year ago I had the same thing happen to me and I had the volume all the way up.
I hadn't gotten around to trying it again until this past weekend and I loaded it up with about 6 hours worth of music and rode about 250 miles and it worked perfectly.
I can't say I did anything different so I have no explanation for the different outcomes.
dont know if itll work or if you have tried it yet... but maybe try to turn the volume all the way up with the earphones then try and plug in the aux cable?
I too have the ipod shuffle and had to turn up the volume with the ear phones that came with it and it was bearable enough to ride with although some songs seemed louder than others but that might be a download problem.
I adjusted the volume with the earbuds and that seems to have fixed it. I figured that the volume only would have controlled the earbuds...I guessed wrong..Thanks guys
You can do and aftermarket radio, we can upgrade the speakers and add an amplifier!!!! and add the ipod cable so you can control the ipod thru the handle bar controls and it will be very loud with the set up that we do!!!
