Daily Direct / Haul Bikes has too much business and cannot deliver ontime, as of just a few months ago, I heard this from the Tractor owner driver who delivered my FLTRSE3, quoted 21 days and possibly 28 days the latest, was delivered 42 days, their office knew ahead and LIED to me ! ... gave me $50 refund - big deal - so I won't sue them
FL to MA
Yea Haulbikes like all shippers stockpile bikes in a warehouse then fill trucks.I worked for them coupla years...not a bad co but they do stretch(LIE) about ship dates/times.If you do get a good driver they are usually 1/2 days in the original quote but look at the contract, ask questions, get it in writing and make them stick to dates/times.If you live in BFE its a crap shoot.
This is my first post to the site....to bad it's negative.
I agree with Cosmic Charlie on haulbikes. I had a quote for 28 days to ship a bike from Ohio to Texas. They have yet to pick my bike up from Ohio. My contract was signed and CC charged on the 8th of June. Looks like it will be about 6 weeks at the earliest before it arrives in Texas. I've heard they do a good job, just don't plan on having them deliver in 28 days.
This will be the third year in a row that I have shipped my bike from Alabama to Seattle, Washington, really Kent, Washington near Seatac. I use Federal motorcycle Shipping. They put the bike on a pallet, strap it down and transfer them in enclosed Allied Van Line trucks. It takes them two weeks to haul have them there when I fly in to pick it up for the ride home. They did lose my CB antenna last year because they loosened both antennas for the trip, I guess to keep them from flopping. This year I will store them in the tourpack. Great Company, price a little over $500. Not bad for the distance.
