Default cam cover

Does anyone have a trick to get the cam cover off ? I am changing my exhaust and decided to take a look at my tensioners. The cover won't budge.

I'm sure dawg will be here soon to share some knowledge, but I bet you're gonna need a soft mallet of some kind to beat the $hit out of it.

hahaha, we had to take a rubber mallet to petemac's cam cover when we did his cam job. Take a rubber mallet and bop it on the side and it should come off.

Thanks dawg, I actually tried that but it didn't work. I guess I need to hit it a little harder.

You conveniently forgot to mention that you wailed on that cover for at least an hour.

We had to pound the snot out of petemac's cover. We held a rag over the cover and took a good swing and it finally came off.

Petemac Cams Note the pics of dawg wailin' on the cover. You can't see the mallet, it's just a blur. dawg was really poundin' the chit outta the cover.
