Any time I can get a person on the phone to answer a question...............you get the idea!

Agreed. Getting someone (that cares) on the phone is every bit as important as having a high quality solution. I bought the Glide over the Velva based on Jake alone.
How is the vibration at idle? Have you checked your aligment? Have you ever taken the rear swing arm off or loosened the shaft? Is this a new conition? How many miles on your bike?
I just installed the new mount from harley as well on my 06 flht and the vibration at idle is almost non-existant but from about 1500 to 2500 rpms, it vibrates like crazy. It's almost unrideable now at cruising speed. My whole dash vibrates to a point where I'm worried. I've heard that the new mount is made of a harder compound and you can install the Buell mount instead. I'm going to see if the dealer has one today and slap it on.

Why spend more money on another Rubber mount? I think that most everyone agrees urethane is the only way to go with replacement mounts. For just a few dollars more you can have a velva ride or a Glide Pro. Yachtman might even sell you his Velva ride for less than the cost of that Buell rubber mount.

Not sure what they charge. I went by today and ordered the buell mount. It only set me back 26 bucks compared to 45 for the harley one. I'll let yall know if it helps.
Alignment will run 2 - 3 hours. Depends on if you have the exhaust removed or not. If you are mech. inclined, you can perform the alignment in your garage. All you need are a couple of lasers and a digital protracter. About $100 at sears.
So it turns out that the problem wasn't the mount but the mechanic...
I was looking at the motor and noticed it was touching the frame on the left side. After taking the voltage regulator off I noticed that when I replaced the mount I put the plate back on the wrong way. If you are having a lot of vibration I would suggest looking at where the plate is bolted to the motor. The two bolt holes that connect the plate to the motor should be bolted on underneath the motor, not on top.
